Jet breaking the sound barrier - perspective: from the camera's perspective as shown in the photograph below (at the moment that the below photograph was taken, 7 July 1999)

 

Target Description: As per the photograph below. This jet is an F/A-18C Hornet. The picture was taken from the deck of the aircraft carrier Constellation in the Pacific Ocean on 7 July 1999. The jet was flying only 75 feet above the ocean. The picture was taken by Ensign John Gay.
