In 1979, there was a reported incident, a physical battle between extraterrestrials and humans. It supposedly took place during a time when the United States government was tunneling into the ground near Archuleta Mesa, not far from the town of Dulce, New Mexico, which is in the north of New Mexico near the Colorado border. The tunneling was part of an attempt to build a DUMB facility, or a deep underground military base, similar to the one at Cheyenne Mountain. The U.S. has many such bases, including Area 51.
The incident near Dulce was reported by Phil Schneider who was said to have been a governmental structural engineer involved in the initial tunneling and construction process. He eventually gave a few public talks on the subject, and he appeared to be a very credible witness. Indeed, some of his fingers were missing on one hand, which he claimed resulted from them being blown off during the event. It is also claimed that he had a large scar across his chest which he said was a result of the battle.
According to his report, U.S. military forces accidentally surprised extraterrestrials during the tunneling process, and there was a shootout. Apparently, some extraterrestrials had long had their own underground base in the same spot, probably chosen for the same reasons. It is said that over 60 military personnel died in the shootout.
This project does not target Phil Schneider, nor is the project dependent on the assumption that the story told by Phil Schneider is true. The project takes as an idea that the event described by Phil Schneider is intriguing. Given Farsight's past research that indicates that there are a great many underground extraterrestrial bases on Earth, the possibility of an event such as described by Phil Schneider seems significant, regardless of whether or not Phil Schneider's personal account is real or fictional. The goal of the project is to gather evidence that such an event, or anything similar to such an event, actually happened, either in Dulce or in a location similar in characteristics to Dulce. This project investigates whether or not an underground shootout between humans and extraterrestrials ever happened on American soil.

Blind Conditions for All Remote-Viewing Data: All remote viewing for this project (as with all projects conducted at The Farsight Institute) was conducted under totally blind conditions. The viewers were told nothing about the project or specific targets while they were conducting their remote-viewing sessions. They were only instructed that there is a target, and that they should remote view it.
