College and University Educational Materials

The Farsight Institute is a nonprofit research and educational organization. We support colleges, universities, and other nonprofit organizations that engage in research and educational efforts regarding remote viewing. Both undergraduate and graduate education is supported.

Below are links to various resources that college administrators and instructors may find useful in integrating various approaches to the study of remote viewing into their curriculums. These approaches address the science and theory of remote viewing, as well as the history of the phenomenon (scientific as well as military). Suggestions for including practicums in some select courses utilizing a variety of remote-viewing styles are also offered. All syllabi offered on this page are placed in the public domain and may be used freely in the context of any college or university course with or without modification.

SUGGESTIONS FOR COURSES WITH PRACTICAL CONTENT

Some instructors may wish to develop a course on remote viewing that contains both theory and experiential components. One possibility is to feature an experienced instructor in remote viewing in a number of classes. Such an instructor could provide a conceptual overview of remote-viewing methodologies, and in some circumstances might be able to offer some rudimentary instruction in one methodology. Currently, we are recommending three approaches to remote viewing (listed below) that we feel would offer a good pedagogical fit with most college settings. Other approaches may be added to these recommendations in the future. College instructors interested in adding a practical component to their courses may want to "cycle through" the various remote-viewing methodologies one at a time when courses are re-offered in different terms. The Farsight Institute receives no financial benefit from the inclusion of such a component into a college course in remote viewing. This information is offered here only as a public service to assist college instructors who may want to obtain information on how such a component might be productively included in their courses.
